Fished the Hill for the tournament Fri and Sat, and then with a friend Sunday. Don't have any pictures from then, but do have some for the next 3 days I fished. Fished alone Monday, with my youngest daughter Tues, then with my friend Shortpole Wed. Fish were scattered and in 13-15 fow. We picked them off slowly, but the ones we were catching were quality fish. Water temp got up to 60* and we were longlining. It was a nice week of vacation!
Nice catch. Looks like the lake level may have dropped a foot.
Hey Hobo. I used to pass Oconee and fish the Hill on a regular basis. It's about 45 minutes further down the road for me. Then I got to know Oconee a little better. When the Hill gets going, there isn't a better lake in the state to fish for them slabs. You can go on the weekends and see 3 maybe 4 boats all day. No boat traffic or water lice. It's a great peaceful lake.
We start south and go north I like the hill when you fish over there you meet people you see on Talquin, Watler F. George and Oconee some as fore as crescent lake the Georgia boys go for the fish. I like the white crappie in the hill. around the 20th till mid may is for me this year is fast
