Just an FYI. We ordered a new war eagle 2072 in 2013 and we literally started with an empty hull and we could basically build the boat how we wanted it laid out using any of the options they offered. Crappiehabits would agree there has been zero regrets with the war eagle. Lowe was another brand they looked at and they were about 4000 cheaper for a 2072 but we were limited to the layout they had already produce according to the Lowe dealer we dealt with. Good luck.

Triton, Ranger and Stratos all were bought by Bass Pro ,so I don't think it's going to make much difference in the future.

I prefer a glass boat, but a buddy bought a Triton TX 17 and I went fishing with him and think it is a excellent boat.

I have a triton aluminum I use only for catching shrimp 3-4 times a year. Where the transom and the bottom meet started to rot out. Called triton to ask about the lifetime warranty and they told me to call duracraft because that is who now owns their aluminum side. Called them and what a PITA. I decided it would be easier for me to just fix it myself. So if basspro owns them now then they are changing hands a lot and I would steer clear. And for anyone's info I was told the reason my boat rotted. Lumber is treated with arsenic and will bleed through the carpet on your bunks. That is one chemical aluminum can not handle. Not a problem if you use the boat often but for me letting it sit a year at a time is not good at all

From what understand Bass pro bought Triton, Ranger and a few other companies. Supposedly they will just own these companies but not change how they operate.

I owned a War Eagle 2072 and sold it to buy a Triton TA 196 and loved it, lots of room and very comfortable ride, but I could not take the Triton places that the War Eagle went and not to mention the fuel savings due to a lighter boat. I bought another War Eagle 860 due to the resale value and the customer service! Look at War Eagle before you drop your money down!
