I'll be there!
Can't wait really looking forward to it! Coming down a week later this year just hope Im making the right decision! Seems the past few years the wether has been a lil rough so hope coming a week later might help out a lil! Only time will tell! I'll find the hog earthier way!
You'll be okay. We come down anywhere in the 1st 3 weeks and catch plenty. I can not remember ever having a year where we didn't catch females without eggs.
I'd almost bet some un-spawned fish could be caught well into May. I know up here is SW Ohio we catch them with eggs throughout May.
There are no Crappie in Lake Barkley, Limit One Per Day, Just Kidding, April is one of my favorite months, (normally)!!!, Many factors will or can effect fishing, keep our finger crossed!!! Just curious what part of Barkley do you plan on fishing? Last year I was catching Crappie mid-may full of eggs. You should be good to go.

Never fished eddy creek is it good?? Talked to a guy down there last year gill fishin he said we should give it a try!
We have fished it several years in a row now for gill and shells. I just noticed a lot of good lookin stuff for crappie the times I have been. I love it though. It's big enough we never even go out to the main lake and I really like the accommodations also. Cabins or motel room style rooms. Reasonably priced and comes with uncovered slip with electric included. Fish cleanin station at the marina as well. And it's conveniently located at the north east corner which is the closest to us comin down the wk parkway. I definately recommend it. Food at the marina ain't bad neither.
