Glad to see it's getting started! Will be putting in at berry bend tomorrow if it's open.

Made it out to Truman today, put in at the dam before sun up. It started out with having to break through a thin layer of ice that extended from the dam through the grand arm. Hit a few spots with no luck, found huge groups of shad in 30+ feet of water. The luck that was had today came from the MDC cedar trees that were placed out there. Cedars in 20 feet of water were best fished with a brown and orange swarm jig right above the top of the tree. They thumped it pretty good but they liked it in their face for a bit. The biggest was 12 inches, fat and happy.
On the trip back home I got to get a look at the dead channel below the dam. The water level down there is way low. There were about 7 boats stacking up around the area closest to the dam.
