I was watching a few episodes over the weekend. Never really caught my eye until now. This here dead snag needs drug over and sunk in deeper water.
I can see crappie hiding in it's shade line.

That's a pretty good eye to spot those fish. But be careful and don't let anybody see you in there fishing for them. Trust me, some people just don't understand like we do.
This weekend, I put the canoe in the mattaponi and paddled a good 4 miles up river, with the tide, but against a stiff wind. To call it a workout would be a serious understatement and I had to paddle back too. I did tie off to an old dock piling and drifted some minnows for awhile, but no luck. When I got back home, i was worn out. First paddle in months, fighting the wind, squatting in the canoe, my legs are sore as ever. But the darnest thing, when I saw that full moon--and a nice calm night--I got the insight on those yp: they're out there in the moonlight! That, and regular doses of advil, and I'm ready to go again.

would that make Earnest T. Bass an inferior species.....or a sign that his rock has finally struck someone
