Well, hogwaller, I don't know enough about Saline/Larto to help you out either. Only fished it one time a few years back at one of our famous "gatherings." Just wanted to say hello and welcome from one Dodson feller to another. By the way, name is Lavelle Spillers and I pastor Welcome Home Baptist Church on HWY 34.

Thanks Tracker, i've fished down there since i was a kid, just not in that exact area. my first white perch was caught just up from phil's landing!
pastor, i met you on black lake back i think in dec. last year. we know some of the same people from around Baskin! And of course from around here.
i appreciate the help, my brother and i are going down there in a week, weather permitting, to stay a couple of days! all the rain coming may mess em up! but at least we'll be there!

If you put in on Larto, you head toward Saline and go by Youngbloods landing, you then take the right instead of going into the manmade cut to the left. Go down about a mile and it takes a hard right and if you look up you'll see the old standard derrick right in front of you, this is the Buzzard Roost. If you keep following this bayou, you'll end up in shad lake. I'm Skipper from Winnfield, so I imagine we've fished alot of the same water.

Mon'Back, we've fished in the same boat, not to mention spending way too much time at a certain glue plant! this is Rick, and thanks for the info about the buzzard roost, like i said before, i've fished down there a lot, just not there.
