A friend of mine in Atlanta has a house on Lake Seed. All we have done is bream fish, only been a few times, but did pretty good with crickets and a slip cork. I found out later there are Walleye in the lake. I'd rather have them than any other fish. They are about as good eating as you can find. He is not a crappie fisherman so we never tried them.

Long narrow flooded river. Fairly deep down by dam and gets pretty shallow up the river arm. I got on the bream pretty well last year. There are crappie there but I did not target them. Most lakes up that way hold less numbers but good size. Caught my crappie right at the boat ramp. Lots of jack fish up there. Good yellow perch and walleye in there too. Bass was pretty slow last time I was there.

Headed there today. My target fish is Walleye BUT I will be running tipped jigs and will go Crappie if I pick just one up. I will post my trip Saturday with pics. I like new water, new places, and good times. This lake is on my bucket list as it is the ONLY lake or waterway that I have not been on in Georgia.

Seed is not known for its crappie fishing for a reason. Trout and walleye are much easier to catch there than crappie

We went and we fished hard with all the tools from dam to dam with no success on Crappie and Walleye. A blind man can catch Yellow Perch and we did also. We also caught Jack fish.

I ran into the DNR shock boat Wednesday PM and they were working Lake Seed. From the boat ramp to the old bridge on the upper end they shocked 4 walleye and 0 crappie.

We are going back this May or June for a week.

    Very purty lake........

Perch are always nice. Maybe I see ya up there when you go back. We like going up there in the summer due to boat traffic on lanier.
