Started fishing around 10 this morning. Fish were tight to the bottom in 20-25 ft of water. Picked up one here and there and then they started to move up in the water column. Just when things were starting to pick up, they started to generate and the fish disappeared. Left the lake around 5:30 with 20 11 inch+ fish in the live well and 4 others that were donated to me. Nothing any different from this passed Monday other than the water temp was 52-53 today and the lake was stained more from the recent rains.
Thanks for the info.
today was totally different. Biggest day I have ever seen on Oconee!!!! hundreds of crappie were boated today, maybe a thousand hahahahahahah
How did you really do?
Two fish to hand this afternoon spider rigging minnow tipped jigs in 9-11 feet of water. We had a few other soft bites but failed to connect. Water temp ranged from 52 to 55 degrees.

They are moving into the shallow flats, the smallest horizontal fish at top of pic was 10.25 inches. Saw 60F water today.

I knew you'd catch them. When I was leaving I said to myself, "Self, Big Johnnys being patient and he's gonna wear them out." I agree with you, these fish are rushing to the flats right now. You know where you need to be this morning.....since you aint going to church. Also it was a pleasure to meet Jacque Cousteau yesterday. There are a few depth finders and fishing poles I would like for him to try to find next time you bring him fishing.
Nice catch country!!!
