Woo Hoo. Great report. Now I just have to get off work long enough to go fishing.

I just spoke to a couple of my crappie buddies and got this information.
1. Crappie are being caught shallow. Huh? Yes, he was fishing from the bank in Roseberry Creek and was casting a BG jig and catching the crappie at two feet. Yeah, I said TWO FEET and the water is barely above freezing. This is a spawning area and there isn't any deep water close to it, at least none deeper than 5 feet withing 300 yards.
2. Limits were caught around boat houses close to deeper water. These are boat houses out on the lake and have brush around them. Depending on the day, some of the best time is late in the evening.
3. My friend over near the Shoals caught some nice crappies fishing from one of the marinas. The fish were suspending at about six feet. Go figure!
This information is over the last four days. Maybe it will help somebody catch a couple

The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Thanks for the info tadpole, now if the weather will cooperate I should have a good trip up week after next.
Excellent report Tadpole, thanks. Hope to verify some of that info this weekend.
Good news-ill be there next week starting on 14th-GITRDONE.
Could only find Stripe in 2' of water yesterday and they were thick!! So, the bait was there and the stripe were there, I just missed the right time for the crappie to be there. Water temp got to 49.7 in the afternoon up shallow.
