Folks we held a raffle at our Toledo Bend Gathering. I was hoping to raise $50 or even $75. We raffle various items that several members donated. Thanks go out to all of them. We had fishing reels, poles, anchors, a depth finder, a gps handheld navigator, various pole holders, large minnow bucket, a chef's apron, a fish shaped key holder, an electronic connector for Ethernet, and I'm sure I left out a few. The most special prize was a pillow that Anne made for the event. It can be seen on the off topic section. Unless someone has pictures to post, we forgot to take a picture of the items. All were bid on an Mr. Marshall racked up. I would like to thank everyone for buying tickets. We had 110% participation. (the extra 10% was Mr.Marshall. lol). Now for the best parts. We will do this again next year. We raised $275. WOW and THANKS. C.C La. is the best!!! This was humbling. Mae and I had the blessing of presenting the money to our recipient. Sabine Council on Aging. They were so thankful and gave us a round of applause. We share that with all of you. We took a couple pictures. They were doing an exercise class while we were there. The first picture is fuzzy, I was presenting the money to Ms Denise McGaha. She is a good hugger!the other pix are of the outside and the group of people exercising. Again, my heartfelt thanks. Danny And a special thanks to a certain lady for giving me my favorite item.

That raffle turned out much better than I thought it would. Danny and I kicked it around how we were going to do it and where the money was going to go. We decided to keep it local. He was worried that the actual raffle would take too long - worked out nicely. We will definitely do it again next year. Thanks for all your help fellas for pitching in.

Glad you won it Dwayne. The lakes map card works nice, used it regular for a while before I got what I have now. I'll be digging around for things for next year. It was Danny's idea for the raffle - an excellent one at that. This annual event we have is a team effort - me, knucklehead, Mae, and Ann.
