    Gona hear that rumor on nader every yr, last yr it was caught in a net by comercial fisherman...but released because it wasnt leagel for him to keep gamefish. No telling what the rumor will be this yr.

    Actually, Brian was in a bar with Shepard Smith prior to an Ole Miss game and overheard someone who know's someone talking about it. It's just that Brian's life is such a fast paced blur that the details got mixed up. He thought the real story was about how folks in MS still fish with the modern equivalent of a crank telephone.

    I don't doubt that a 6lb crappie could be hanging out somewhere in Grenada, but I think the Chinese telephone gets going on these rumors. A park ranger once told me that they had shocked up a few fish in past that would have broken the record. The white crappie record is 5lb 3oz. What's a few ounces of exaggeration between friends.

    Also, Brian Williams saw the body of 6.5lb crappie float past his hotel in New Orleans.

    Ok guys here's the truth I have caught a 6lb crappie I did not take a picture of it cause I didn't think at the time it was a big deal mater a fact I have caught several and have ate everyone of them and that's the truth oh yea I caught all of them at tunic cutoff so y'all should start heading that way.
