Yeah Jack, maybe I was a little hasty with my criticism of the weather folks yesterday. We only got about 3 inches in Sumiton. Much larger quantities very near by like Cordova and Jasper. I guess we were right on the edge of the cold enough temps.

We got the heavy bands. They came right through Scottsboro. On up in Tennessee above Chattanooga they only got five inches.

The bad thing about lots of snow besides preventing you from getting to the river or lake is that it lowers the water temperature faster than any cold front which usually has shocked the fish for a couple of days after unless they were already very deep!!Strangely though I have had some big catches while fishing as the snow was coming down. With as much snow that fell on the big G I suspect its gonna be slow go for awhile with the temps already below40° on most of the lake. Hopefully the few 60° days and one day of stormy 70° next week will rebound the temps fast!!

With the temps being higher hopefully the rain we get next week will be warm rain and help to warm the water faster. I am ready to start seeing some slabs coming into my boat.
