    hello everyone, looking to fish somewhere different looking to take a trip Memorial Day weekend if we can find a good place to stay with a guide service, wondering how the crappie fishing is in late May. Thanks

    Crappie fishing depending on weather is usually pretty tough. The fish are making the transition back to the deep water after the spawn. You can still catch a few on the trees jigging or slow troll and catch a few on scattered stumps. Best thing to catch at that time is bream or catfish as they are usually jumping in the boat. If you are planning on a guided trip, pm me. There is also some others guides on here. We will be more then happy to put you on some.

    That summed it up pretty good there nwtncf! Those big bull bream should be on or near some beds at that time!

    Also the right spots and bait you won't be able to keep the channel cats off your line that time of year lol!

    im normally still doing pretty good in may, but you can always catch em if you know where to look. as far as cats go, them critters are some fun too. love running them yoyos lol

    Hello everyone. I taking my father down to reelfoot the last week in April. He has always wanted to go there and fish but with always staying busy to make sure everyone had the things they. I have decided to return the favor to him. My ? is will the crappie still be hitting good? Thanks for any help you can give.

    A good time of the year to target the shallow water crappie in the trees. Bream and catfish are usually starting to show up also depending on weather. If you have a spider rig set up, that is also a great time to target them in the transition period in shallow flats. All in all a great time to be on the lake.
