Yamaha 4 stroke has been good to me. Couple of friends have the new Suzuki and if I had to buy a motor tomorrow think that would be my first choice.

yamaha 4 stroke, you won't regret it.
GREAT CHOICE! Will give you many years of service. Quiet and sips the gas.
I have the same motor!
The only thing I see wrong with that is..... it's out of the water, what good is that sitting under the shed? If I had that, I couldn't stay off the water, Better yet, bring it over here and I will test it out for you.
Shadboy,
when i was shopping for my new boat months back, i wanted a 4 stroke. it was a no brainer toss up between yama or suzuki. I will always stay away from honda 4 stroke motors because of several friends (all saltwater guys) horror stories with terrible customer service, warranty work, ect.
Both listed above are solid motors, BUT see who near you services them. There is NO ONE within a 150 mile radius of charlotte that serviced Suzukis, so it was a no brainer. couldnt of been happier.
before you buy a 4 stroke, check to see if you have a service shop locally.
