Question Advice on Aluminum Boat Repair/ Restore

I'm working on my Fishing Boat getting ready for fishing season. I have a 14ft Aluminum V-bottom boat. I have a leak somewhere. Sealed it last year I thought. Until I put on Lacygne and had water in boat after awhile. Thinking it could be back of boat where the motor mounts. Any advice on going about fixing it or somewhere I could take it without spending more then my boat is worth.

Need to find it first. Fill the boat full of water and mark the leak. Cabelas used to sell some sticks that you used a torch to heat the spot then apply the stick. It works like a champ.

Have used JB weld on holes in aluminum boats for pin hole leaks then used foam in can over top of that is still holding today as far as I know and has been years ago.

Put water in it to find leak/ leaks. If its rivits replace them with solid SO rivits which require access to both sides. If in a blind area use a sealed end pop rivit. If your close to Topeka I have both types of rivits. If a hole weld/ patch or some sort of sealant like fuel tank patch.

Wanted to share this product with you guys for future reference. I found this stuff when I needed to seal the roof of my RV. It will not stand abrasions, but it will seal anything you put it on and it is not coming off once it is on, so be sure you got it where you want it. I understand it was developed for the Navy to seal underwater tanks.

I used it to seal some holes in my transom when I replaced a transducer.

If rivets are leaking, you can hold a bucking block on one side of the rivet to support it, and lightly hammer the other side and they'll seal. A solid rivet gun isn't that expensive and you can add all kinds of stuff to your boat. If your boat is all welded, find the leak and take it to a welding shop or have a buddy come over with a tig welder.
