    Invited several friends to go fishing on Norman tomorrow and no takers. Am I crazy or are my friends getting to old? What's your thoughts?

    Be prepared for your rods to look like mine below. The water is above freezing, so dip your rod tips in it to melt the ice as it builds up.

    I'm itching to go as much as anyone, but this is pretty brutal cold. The fireplace seems like a much better way to go.
    I only fish the two best days of the year, when its raining and when its not!

    Back when I had to work for a livin, I'd go bout every day I had off. 8* is the coldest I've ventured out in, but it got up to 27 that day! I've had it snow several inches in my boat chasin Stripers on SML in Feb, and we caught the heck out of them! but since I've retired, I can wait on better weather an still get to fish 250 days a yr! So I will....
