    Default Broken Bow?

I have a work function at lake Broken Bow during the 2nd week in April. I'll only be down there for one night and I'm either taking a rod and reel or my golf clubs. I'm guessing that spawn will be close at hand during that particular time so I might be able to snag a few from shore. Can anyone that fishes Broken Bow tell me if the timing is usually right for this? I'm up at Grand Lake so we're usually a couple of weeks behind if not more.

You will on the tail end of the spawn. I would stay on the lower end of the lake. I have walked the bank before and done every well this time of the year when I lived down there. I would fish the Carson Creek or Stephens Gap area. Just cast out and let your jig fall for a 5-6 count then reel slowly back to the bank. Once you turn in on the right depth you can always through a cork and jig to keep the bait in the zone better. Good luck.

callmecamo, I am hoping I get to head down that way on the 1st of April and fish for about 5 days. When I get back watch for a report from me on how it is and I can give you a better idea as to what and where to fish.

I will definitely stay tuned. Load the boat and thank you for the heads-up!

Don't count out the north end the 2nd week of April! Make sure you at least try Holly and Linson Creek! Also, the small coves and cuts north of Linson Creek.

The water up by the dam is unbelievably clear! I have caught spawning crappie in 13 ft. of water and could see the beds on the bottom. I'm not used to fishing water that clear, but maybe ask Ranger or some of the guys that fish Tenkiller? Good Luck!

North and south holly is where I caught alot of our crappie when I went A few years ago and it was the second week of April. 15' deep is where we caught them all day.
