Sorry, I was just kidding about shad point. I'm almost always on the Wade branch or by the dam. If you see a white jon on the Wade, it's prolly me.

No you're right it is a popular spot but Lee and I was there again on Friday and only one other boat came up and that was after we'd been there for hours and they left after about 45min. of fishing. We finished with 35 keepers and had another fun day chasing the shad. BTW I met you up on the dam a couple years back, I now have a white Basscat so say hey iffin you see me out on the lake and I'll do the same.

Hey Towboat we're using double jig rigs with 3/8oz. and 1/4oz. jigheads, braided line on 9-10ft. rods, been having good luck using bobby garland mo-glo-slabsayers in white and blue/white 3in. size. We're fishing above and into the school of shad 15-21ft down in 24-38 fow. How's fishing in Tennesse?

Idk been working too much to go! Lol I be home Thursday for 3 weeks gonna give them heck or drown some minners anyways! Bass fishing has been good from what my buddies say and seems like crappie are just hit or miss. It should be getting real good in next couple weeks if it'll warm up after this cold front. Hope we don't have a shad kill again.

Oh yea Slabby, I think you mentioned that you caught a walleye or two that day?

I wish LEE would take me out for some winter slab fishing! I'm in complete withdraw and need some fishing time!

My comments about standing timber came from my familiarity with that area and as Slabchaser said that location is a well know and well used area.

True there is no standing timber visible on the locator or on the satellite photo from the way point viewer I linked to. I commented on the standing timber after DKV thought that was just open water from what he could see on the satellite photo.
Gotcha. Starting to think fishing is getting to sophisticated for my adled brain!
