    Question is do y'all use head cement and a whip finisher like fly tiers do?

    Yes. 4 wraps and a tiny drop of head cement.
    Looks good.

    I do this on my personal jigs. Always cemented when I was selling though.

    I use generally 5 wraps and I make my own glue which is clear high gloss lacquer mixed about 50/50 because it's thin and soaks in fast, can't feel where you put it and works well. I really don't think my ties would come apart anyway, but I feel better with the drop.

    Yep, personal jigs = no glue, given away = a drop of glue.

    50/50? Mix it with ? What do you cut it with Skip?
