Southern Crappie Rods question
Thinking about ordering some 16ft Southern Crappie rods and have a couple questions. Currently have 14ft b n m prostaff trolling rods and 16ft b n m bucks graphite jig poles. Is the action on these closer to the prostaff trolling rods or the bucks graphite jig poles. Looking for something stiffer than the bgjp but softer than the trolling poles. Will these rods handle 1 oz weights?

What Whiskers said. The poles are lighter than a trolling rods and a little heavier than the BGJP's. Should work perfect for what your looking for. Call Ed directly, he's a great guy and can give you good information about the rods over the phone. Also, very quick shipping, I had mine in two days.

o and i have been using 1oz. here lately and they do fine,wouldnt recommend anything over 1 oz. though.Call the owner ed duke and he will answer any question u have,seems like a good guy.

I use 14ft SCP's and normally use 1 oz egg sinkers, I have used 1.5oz but they put a heck of a bow in them. Also when I run double minnows I occationally find a hungry Channel cat, last one was 24"+ I use 8# Hi Vis mono which helps land the cats, but the poles take the abuse.
