Jason, Kentucky Lake or Reelfoot lake should be your two lakes to decide from. Come on, we know you were thinking the same thing.

I'm from Indy. Best trip I've been on is Reelfoot. We go every spring. This year we're going second week of april. Really fun. Decent accomodations, few restaurants, and great fishing. Our only complaint last year was not bringing enough beer on our boat!

Big Sandy at Paris Tn. can be good. It's only 6 hours for me from Martinsville, In. If you have good electronics the main lake breaks are pretty easy to find.

I thought you limited the distance traveled but Mississippi has some #1 lakes. Dardanelle in Arkansas was mentioned but they failed to point out there are several lakes a short drive from there too. Nimrod can be hot if we don't get a flood. Not always biggest fish but very high numbers . Short drive if want to fish more lakes as well as Atkins and Overcup.
