Default JR's Boat and Advice on Getting a Small Powered Boat Rig

Hey JR what kind of boat and motor do you have? I saw it once and think it might be the size for me. I'm planning ahead to the fast coming time when paddling alone gets too hard. I would still prefer to paddle if I have some body along.

I'm thinking a 20hp rig. That would seem like a good size for me. I don't want anything big, but would love to have advice from anybody that fishes the smaller end of the spectrum. Not going to move on it right away, but want to have all the thinking done in case I get crazy quick.

I would like to be able to bring one other person with me. I've been riding around alone for nearly 40 years and am talking to my self more and more. I need a human once and awhile to make me appreciate being alone.

Thanks for the offer. Might get to look at it at Henderson in March if we both are there.

    Hey Mer,

Gonna take the big step? I have a 14' Xpress Jon boat. With a 25hp Yamaha Tiller. I put a deck up front with a pedestal seat and foot motor. I use riding lawn mower seats. They hold up.

I'll take some pics later today and post.

That sounds like a rig for me. How does it do when you are forced to bring someone with you?
