    Default Cold Front Question

We're having a major cold front come in on Thursday this week. Wed is supposed to be 58f and calm wind. Will the crappie want to feed before this pressure? My vote is YES!!! What would ya'll do?

Hopefully they will be hungry today, gonna find out later today. I've heard/read where they get active before a front moves thru but crappie are picky critters at times.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

What, an excuse to go fishing? I vote yes. I know how many I'll catch in my office today, zero! Good luck and tight lines. 👀🐡

I agree with rcp. Sounds like a good excuse. Sometimes the bite really turns on just before a cold front moves in. With light winds it should be a pretty good day if you can find some fish that will hit.

I've found that they will become active when theres a major barometric pressure change and the shallower the water that the fish are in the more drastic the "turn on" is. But that also means the harder the "lock jaw" they have after the pressure passes. Keep a journal boys.... keeping a journal and entering all the days information after every trip you will start to see patterns that you wouldn't see just going on memory.

When I put in the slough was 33 had to bust ice with the kayak on the way out. The creeks were about 44 and the slough was 48 when I came back but it's only about 2' deep

Fished Woods with a guest and got a double limit. His went to dinner and mine went back to swim some more, and make babies. DEEP was the word, no minnows. Forgot the electronics and had to fish by the seat of the pants.
