    derek,

You want go wrong with southerns We tightline and longline with them (not all of ours are but most of the longer ones are now Southerns.) Danque sells them at the crappie hole and you already talk to Ed and he's the supplier for Danque I think. For the money you want go wrong and this don't mean much to most but I"ve only seen one break and it was at the tip and I caused that. Ed also sell other crappie fishing stuff too. IF you get some and don't like them I'll buy them from you:
    If you don't get hung every-once-n-a-while you ain't jigg'n it right..:D

Just bought 4 Bass Pro Crappie max. (Tight line special)(They had lots of review's) Looked hard at the southern Crappie, ozark,B&M,Wally's, look like good rod's for price. But like the warranty(can walk in"ANY" Bass Pro and replace) on Crappie max rod's(Bass Pro) and they are on sale.

I don't think anyone, including me, noticed that you posted this 7 years ago. Someone must have been trolling the archives.

Everyone once in a while I'll see an old thread pop back up like this. Crazy to think I've been apart of the crappie.com community that long too.

I use Southern Crappie Rods and couldn,t be more happy. Great product. Ed is always a pleasure to deal with and share information.
He also sells tips for his rods at a very reasonable price if for some reason you did break one.
