What fascinated me the most about the article was the thump of white crappie to the softer bite of black crappie. Past two mornings I've limited out and am getting to point of telling which one is on by the bite and fight.

Nice article but I don't think I can tell the difference between the two.

I catch 100% of my fish by casting out and they hit it on the fall, that may be the difference. I'm not vertical jigging but keep tight line as it falls to feel bite.
