    Default Crappies in the swamp

Started out slow this morning jigging in Broadwater. Switched over to minnows and started tight lining around midday. We only had 3 keeper crappie till around 12:30. Bite picked up around 1:00 and we ended up with about 25 good crappie by 3:30. Just another beautiful day in the swamp.

OBRage, my son has been camping and fishing in Broadwater since Friday with three others. if you went up to the pper end you may have seen them. I couldn't go myself. I know yesterday that they had a few that went 13". Broadwater is my fishing hole when ever I can go. He lives in your area also.

The swamp was full of boats today, including the game wardens. Glad they were out doing their job. We saw several campsites with 6 to 10 boats in each one. And yes we went all the way to the back of Broadwater. We started back near Indigo flats and fished our way out through big otter. I'm sure we passed along the way

First welcome aboard! Second congratulations on a mess of fish! Glad you stuck with it. I'm not too far from you either. I'm between you and Mr. Cromer, by the airport.

That sounds good to me. Nothing like eating and telling fish stories at the same time.
