I know for a fact mine is waterproof. I fell out of my boat at Sardis last year and it still worked. Ruined my cellphone tho. I also found out my auto inflatable life jacket works too.
I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.

It is waterproof and it floats as well. The MK folks knew we would probably drop it overboard or fall in with it. I wear mine around my neck at all times, don't even notice it is there. It comes with a couple of quick clips, so if you don't like it around your neck, you can clip it to your belt or ring on your life jacket. (You do have one on, don't you??)

Default I know the i pilot remote is supposed

I hardly ever use my foot control, but that being said, it's imperative you learn to use it. It's tough on the hand when it's Cold and You have a steady Rain!!! I've used my remote through my pocket in the past, but the the rain eventually runs down your sleeve and gets your pockets soaked.

No life jacket on when troller is deployed but I do use a clip to hook to a belt loop, makes it handy. I want to get one of the new "extra" remotes that will work on all the motors for a spare and so my fishing partner will have one as well. Think they are around 100 bucks.

I did the same on Enid and yep it is waterproof. Trashed a new phone but didn't loose my jig this is one of the reasons I leave my motor down too. No way I could pull myself back in the boat.
