Thread: How did we get here?

I started when I was 3 fishing saltwater off piers and the beach with my dad. Over the years I fished for whatever depending on where we lived. At 12 we lived in a neighborhood that had a couple of ponds and a creek. This is where I started fishing every day for bream, bass, and catfish. I did this until I moved out on my own. I started fly fishing for trout when I was 18 and did that alot until I moved to MS. This is when I started crappie fishing--that was 1999. I started going to sardis with a buddy from work. I really got into it when I got the boat from my dad and the rest is history. Nothing but crappie ever since.

Started fishing about 5 yrs. old. My grand father was a commercial fisherman on Sardis and lived in a fish camp across from Wallaces.My grand maw taught me to crappie fish in the spillway there and the run out in the lower lake.I fished for everything when I got older, but spent a lot of time bass fishing. I had a friend that I fished with during high school and we would fish Lake View for crappie and bream.Johnson Beetle Spins and jigs.We used to pull cranks for anything that would bite when we got in our 20's.We caught everything from crappie to stripers.Got boring after a while and went back into casting for bass.Branched off that into sauger in the cold months. then a friend introduced me to Crappie. com.And after meeting a bunch of the fine folks on here. This is where I will stay.I love the taste of crappie and enjoy the wealth of info I have learned from here. Along with the BS!!!!!I'm hooked for life!

I just started last week. Somebody told me it was a good way to meet hot chicks. So far all I've met is G, BRM and Rees. They are not hot chicks. Maybe it'll be better in the spring.

Only thing hot is my arthritus.....and its on fire lol

I caught crappie fishing from my family. I bass fished for a few years when still young and dumb but my Grat grandfather, Grandfather, and father were lifelong crappie fishermen, and they started me at an early age.....
After retiring, My great grandfather bought a winter home/cabin on Okeechobee. Went down right after Christmas and stayed there until the crappie were biting at Reelfoot.
I know.. No pictures- it didn't happen! So, here they are again....

Wow,,, cool pictures of the old timers doin their thing,,,, Great memories,,,, Now if only we could get pictures of your boats your presently fishing with and maybe a phone number or two we can keep in touch,,,,That way I'll know who to follow and who NOT to follow when I'm out there,,,lol,,,, Ps. Freelay and Reese are exempt ,,, I already was given pictures of both their boat months ago when I found Crappie. Com. ,lol
