Hmm never had that issue...WHen I put a new one on I do pinch the bottom tab slightly with needle nose to keep it from sliding, careful not to damage the tab so I can take it off with my fingernail. Other than that their slim profile lets it cut thru the water easier keeping my line more vertical. Never had twisting issues though.

Start out with a 1/2oz egg sinker if I need more weight I add what ever size ear less split shot I need above the egg sinker it's quick and easy.

    1/2 oz.

if the wind is giving me issues, I add a few split shot. Over 15mph, I go do something else.

I really like these I no longer use the egg sinkers.
I use 8-10 lbs hivis line to the weight and 4-6 lbs line from the weight to the jig. When I get a snag up the lite line breaks off and I only loose my jig. I hardly ever loose the snake.
We also rig them with the weight at the bottom to bottom drag I feel the weight wont snag as easy like a larger diameter sinker.
We ran a test someone said they would have more drag in the water so we spider rigged with 4 poles snake and 4 poles egg caught fish on both set ups. But every time I would snag with an egg I would loose egg and all.
Yes Rickie is a good friend of mine and I use his stuff. But if I did not know Rickie I would still use this set up it works!

2 oz and 5 oz pushing cranks.
It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!
