Craft hair and extra select craft hair are two different animals. Craft hair has a good bit of underfur, and the extra select also has some but also has longer fibers. There is a bit of a learning curve but it really isn't that hard. It's also not as quick for me to tie but some of the jigs are outstanding when done, worth the effort.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
X2 with Skeet - after you cut some off take a comb and comb out a bunch of the underfur it will tie in easier

They look fine, but only thing I would say is try to make your chenille have a more even appearance. One thing that may help cause this problem is the chinelle is old and its Rayon. Especially Rayon will crush on itself over time and it doesn't help having it on the cards they sell it on IMHO! If it's crushed on it self, meaning not all fluffy and new looking, then you need to steam it to bring it back to full life and look full SF fluffy again. Be careful to not over do the steam though!
will go into this more soon when I make a tips post!
Skip
just keep tying it will get better with experience. I too am a new to tying you will learn as you tie more of what works and what catches fish
