There's no bad time to spider rig, IMO

Not to early to troll. The only thing on the big four is wind can get ruff .

Not too early. Got these last week rigging. 0.3mph. Any faster than that and no bite. But the speed can change daily of what they want.

Chickasaw is a pretty nice place to stay. Actually have hunted the area around it, and the accommodations are pretty dern nice. Owned by a very nice family

I went ahead and book a cabin at the state park. I need to find somewhere to stay the last weekend of march State Park and Chickasaw are both full that weekend. Any ideas?

just curios as i am new to crappie fishing.....what else would you do other than spider rigging since you ask if feb is to early for it? what would be the other method of choice is feb was to early?

Plenty of hotels in Batesville.
