You can but it's not cost effective you have to use too much to get the same size body and different brands don't hold color as well. Chenille is cheap and if there's a color you use more than others some companies will sell by the skein.

That is pretty much what a skein looks like. Just have to look at places what they get for a skein. However it's never going to be Acrylic, it will be either Rayon or Nylon and there are a lot more colors in the Rayon!Originally Posted by mrgreenheads

Do you have a source where you get yours as I need skeins of basic colors like white and black I use a lot of. ..... Been trying to make a few that imitates the Southern Pro rubber I use frequently as this tying bug has got me bad
