    Default Tarpon lake Jan 29 crappie


    Good sunny day long lining brass beetle spins. Fished out of Anderson park from noon-5pm. Caught 30 bass, crappie and bream. 5 bass up to 2lbs. Kept
    12 crappie up to 13 1/2 in, and 6 bream to 9 in. Water temp started at 63 and warmed to 67. Air temp about 65. Winds light and variable and sometimes calm.
    Fished the north and northwest part of lake in 9-11 fow. Brass beetle spins with jig color combos of chartreuse, black, blue. Grateful for another pleasant trip
    on the water. Caught several quite small crappie.

    I have never tried long lining a Beetle Spin but will in the future.
