Don't you know! Excellent post. Been to most of those places, and more. Born and raised, my family goes all the way back to the Republic. The Republic of Texas that is. Thanks so much for posting.

I am fortunate to have seen a lot of the scenery in the pix. Haven't made Big Bend yet, but plan to. Love the hill country. Surprised there wasn't a picture with a field full of deer. Or a windmill. Anyway, I'm from Louisiana, but my spirit lives in Texas.

Have seen this before and it's always good to see it again. Someone took some great pictures for this, but there could be so much more! I mean going down the road Danny started, the Great Forrest around here with Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn tucked right into it all. Then the Big Thicket, the bay system from Port Lavaca to Brownsville and yes i leave out Galveston as it's not near as pretty water there! So much more than these spots in Texas to see! I just call it God's Country!

Skip, I love E Texas and that (and family) is why I spend so much time there. Still plan to retire there. Just got to find the right place.
