    Welcome to the board!

Looks like your doing fine. Some materials like flash is hard to not just be squared off like you have it and feel that is fine. However if tying real hair I want it to look more natural that the square look so don't confuse the two. All I would say about the ones like I am talking about now is try to get the materials all around the hook shank where it's tied on. Usually you can make 2 or 3 wraps and still manipulate the materials around the hook shank before really tightening it down for good. You can do the same thing with real hair or you can tie the materials on in 2 stages, one on top and one on bottom, but that is much easier to do with a rotary vise and I do not know what your tying on.

Thanks.....I have a peak rotory vise and a rezzetti rotory vise. I like the peak better than the rezzetti.

Nice work for just starting out . Practice Practice Practice !!! Run your chenille (Thorax) to the tip of the hook , thin out your tailing materials , hide your thread collars by using .006 mono thread . Watch youtube tutorials , don't rush on your ties and Practice ! ( Dump the Peak and Renzetti and buy a Regal Just my 2 cents )
Keep up the good work !!!!

I really like the jigs. I like how you did your mylar. I've tied a few mylar but they sure don't look as good as yours.
