Here is the info: I have Teamed up with the Union Parish Chamber of Commerce. This event will become an annual event and has a great possibility for Growth if we get participation! All proceeds benefit the Chamber of Commerce and Union Parish!

“King of Kings” Crappie/Bass Combo Challenge

"Saturday, March 21, 2015 there will be a King of King’s Big Fish Tournament on Lake D’Arbonne in Farmerville. This will be a single pole 8- hour fishing tournament with a $500.00 cash prize for the Biggest Crappie and a $500.00 cash prize for the Biggest Bass of the Day. In addition each winner will receive a Trophy and Bragging rights for one year as the Top Fisherman for Lake D’Arbonne. It’s sponsored by the Bayou State Crappie Association working with the local Chamber. It could be a tune-up for the big national Crappie Masters tournament set for the lake on April 18. "Tickets for the event are $20.00 and the ticket is also good for another $500.00 drawing. The winners of the tournament will be crowned “King” of Lake D’Arbonne for the year. There are also some pretty good lady fishermen out there, so there is a chance there might have to be some slight adjustment in that title, by the way! This tournament is good for all ages. Fish bank or boat. King of King’s on Lake D’Arbonne."

RULES:
1.) Fishing will Begin at 6AM and End at 2PM, With Official Weigh-In Beginning at 2:30 PM. You must be checked into weigh-in registration line by 2:30 pm
2.) This is a Live Fish Only Weigh-In (Fish must be Live at Registration Point for Weigh-In), fish passing this check point will be considered Live from that point forth.
3.) Entry Fee for Ticket Voucher will be $20.00 per Individual (Ages 16 and Above). Anyone under the age of 16 will be eligible to participate (Free of Charge) for (1) separate prize designated for the Youth Only Participant with the largest crappie. Youth must be accompanied by an adult.
4.) This is a SINGLE POLE EVENT, which means No More than One (1) Pole or (1) Rod can be used at any time during this event by an individual. Multiple Jigs or Multiple Live Bait presentations on a single pole will be allowed with no restrictions.
5.) This is a Lake D’Arbonne ONLY Event and all Crappie/Bass caught and Considered for Weigh-In must be caught on Lake D’Arbonne
6.) Contestants must follow ALL Louisiana Game and Fish Laws, as designated by the Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries. Sportsman Like Conduct shall be expected from all Contestants. Please Respect other non-event individuals that will be sharing the waterways during this event. Any Violations will be grounds for Disqualification from the event!
7.) We ENCOURAGE the RELEASE of all Live Fish back into Lake D’Arbonne, however the Contestant will retain complete ownership of the fish at all times.

PRIZES and AWARDS
This is a Single Payout Event! The Largest Crappie for the Event will be worth $500.00 and the Largest Bass for the Event will be worth $500.00
Also, all Entry Vouchers sold for this event will also be entered into the D’Arbonne Expo DOOR PRIZE DRAWING to be held on March 28th, this will be worth an additional chance to win $500.00 in CASH!
The Youth Award will be (1) Separate Prize designated for this category. The Award will be announced prior to the event.

Location: D'Arbonne Pointe Hwy 33 South Next to Ludwig Marine.
(This is the new Construction area hosting Cabins, Full RV Hookups, Swimming Pool, Boat Launch, etc. that you see ongoing as you cross Lake D'Arbonne on Hwy 33!

Ticket Vouchers will be available from Merchants, Chamber of Commerce Office, and also the Bayou State Crappie Association will be selling tickets for this event.
Judges will be announced prior to the Tournament and Judge’s decisions will be final.

Yes Pastor, with a ticket purchase of only $20.00 you can weigh-in for both categories....(1) Crappie and (1) Bass each worth a chance at $500.00 CASH. Also your ticket goes into the door prize drawing at the D'Arbonne Expo on March 28th (the following weekend) for a chance at another $500.00 cash prize. That is 3 chances to WIN, a total of $1500.00 to be given away! The Winners will also receive a Large Trophy 4' or maybe even 6' for each categorie, and hold the title of "King" of D'Bone for one full year. This will be a yearly event, so defending your title or passing it along will become a yearly event.




It is events like this that bring focus and funding to Farmerville. This event will help fund future projects through the Chamber of Commerce. Events like Krappie Kings, Crappie Masters, King of Kings, etc. are not possible without funding. Doing our part to assist the Chamber so that they may continue to help others such as the Dept. of Tourism, Police Jury and other Union Parish Entities in promotion of Lake D'Arbonne!
