    wrap the main line around the hook 3-4 wraps, this will secure the hook and you'll be good to go

    I just let mine dangle. Doesn't cause much trouble. I do it like Greg said also, but it will cause your line to look coiled where you wrap the top hook. Doesn't hurt the line tho.

    I can move in a tourney faster letting it dangle.

    If you have the same rods and measure your leader and drop line the same... you can get it down to where each hook will fit in a certain eye on the rod snuggly for each pole.
