    Default Mississippi River backwaters


    The last couple weekends I have been ice fishing the backwaters of pool 13 and having some decent luck on crappie and perch. Last weekend I had a mess of 14 crappie and 8 perch in a day and this weekend I brought home a dozen perch each day with a couple crappies.     We used to get em like that all the time in Lake Michigan, but like everything else it went downhill quickly.
