    Default Henderson Fishing report 1/18/2015

Went to Kern's landing across the Levee from Pat's in Henderson. The water lilies had it completely choked in. No way to land there. Looks like you could dock between the I10 at Exit 121.
We decide to head over to Lake Martin just to see how the water is and run my new motor, Water is at a good level and cold. Had a few fisherman there but no one was catching.
    Should turn on soon.
Going to South Pelba Tuesday for Crappie. Happy Fishing!!

Popee, at least you gave it a good try. I did too but scratched. I hope all went well with the motor.

Went to Lake Pelba today to have a look around. The water is so muddy you can't see 2 inches down. Also the lilies are breaking up in large islands.
Went as far north as we could and I see a few area that should produce as soon as things settle into place. Water is still very cold. No shiners were harmed on this scouting mission.

Went Sunday the 18th fished from 11 till 4 and did not have bite. Launched public landing under I10. Fished all over best looking water was going towards the pits by the levee and the ski shoot area. Bigeaux was muddy.

The flow through the control structure at Bayou Courtableau into Bayou Lafourche has dropped from 3000 cfs to 840 cfs. The guage at Pelba is dropping rapidly. This means that, in the next few days when things settle down, Henderson should clear up nicely. Of course more rain could change this. Tight Lines.
