Default what happened to kids toys?

Stopped in Walmart toy section looking for some model paint for a project. No models, no Erector sets, no tinker toys,. Everything there had an app, a computer screen. Nothing that required you to use your imagination or creativity. What happened to toys that you learned from like we had growing up.

I blame it all on the liberties of a nation. They cannot even talk to each other without texting it. Their disagreeable nature has resulted in a lack of respect for themselves, their parents, their peers or even for any authority figure. Bring back the toys and their innocence. Bring back respect, life, liberty and the persuit of happiness.

I blame it on parents not spending time with their kids anymore....they buy them computers, ipads, and cell phones , etc. to keep them out of their hair instead of spending time with them and showing them how to do things etc. Kids now days don't even have any chores to do because their parents don't want to take time to supervise them.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

It isn't just toys either. Musical instruments are taking a big hit too.

And the sense of entitlement that they have. Everything should be given without effort on there part. I do embrace technology, it is a powerful tool. Yet it is not a replacement for social interaction.
