    Default Rods

I've never been one to get hung up on a particular brand but do have a few that I like. I guess my favorite is the Falcons as I have several for different species and techniques. I also really like my 11' Huckabees for strolling. A close second to the Falcons, and much less expensive, are my 8 & 10' ProAnglers. I wanted another 8 footer and recently ordered it. Upon receipt, I noticed there was an extra rod tip. It was labeled as a 4" shorter experimental tip. It gives the 8 footer (actually 7'8") a slightly stiffer action. I'm looking forward to trying it out, What a deal! An already great rod with an extra tip for an different action for less than $50 shipped free. I've been using ProAnglers for a few years now and continue to find reasons for liking them more. I know everyone has their preferences but if you are thinking of a new rod, give them a look.

I use them too. I have broke tips by stepping on them, and various other techniques that i like to keep to myself. When calling them back to order a new tip, they always ask how it was broken. many times they have promped me on what to say, hint hint to get the warranty to cover. I just cant go that way, as I broke it in ways they never heard about. good company, with good products.

IkenI, I just got an 8' and 10' ProAngler with the shorter experimental tip for the 8' also. Redge was nice and let me use a couple of his before I purchased them, really like them. The only problem they didn't send me a rubber fish to practice with.

UPDATE: Thirteen (13) folks have indicated they will be at the 1st Crappie & Coffee! My wife is coming down for a few minutes just to meet the guy who sat out on his patio in 35 degree weather for two hours reading a book testing his cold weather clothes. I promise I did not mention your name Floyd aka IkenI.
