I haven't fished it yet but plan to very soon. I have been by the lake several times in the last couple of weeks and saw only a couple of trucks and trailers at the dam launch. Couldn't see any boats at all. Maybe soon???????

Size: 51.0 KBI bought camp there in June/2014 and have fished every weekend. Catching lot of barfish and some bass in 35' of water on bottom. My niece caught this one last March in Smith Branch. Didn't weigh it but thinkat least 2#. These are what I keep looking for. Very few boats lately because of weather.

Referring to location, the Caney Lake where all the big crappie have been caught is located east of Jonesboro, La., or roughly 35 miles southwest of Monroe......not the one near Minden.

Yes, but you'd be over ten years to late.

I wish....but I have heard of some decent fish coming out of there..Some monster bass just this past fall. I gotta pull myself off Bistineau long enough to go try.
