    Hopefully this will be my most challenging fishing day of the year. At least I wasn't skunked.

    It takes a good hook set for a little one like that. Catching that on the first day of 2015 means it only has to get bigger from this point. Would say that probably wouldn't make the 10" limit.

    It could have been one of our OTC marked crappie that we stocked. They come from the hatchery smaller than what they would be if they were produced in the lake. If you kept it, I could determine if it was stocked or not. Surely you didn't keep it though. Did you?

    It was exactly the same length as my middle finger which is 3-5/16" I didn't have a tape with me though.

    not to get this thread of topic but doesnt the 10" length limit apply on lake conway now?
