Thread: new to jig tying any tips appreciated !!!!

Good job for a starter for sure! Only thing I may say would be maybe your using one wrap to many, but really can't tell from pic right now. Sorry to be slow replying, but I have been sick for over 3 weeks now and not getting any sleep the last couple nights!

I agree Skip. Man, I sure hope you are getting better. Sounds rougher than all get out! I had the flu a few years back and about lost it. Got a steroid shot and that made a big difference. Hang in there !!

Man this actually is the #2 sinus infection since I got sick and about when I was getting over that my oldest sone fresh back from NY stock exchange last week brought me a different one.mthos one has one of the worst caugh I ever had and so bad it will cut oxygen off from your brain. Few nights ago I was sleeping and at 4AM I woak to a terrible coughing spell that made me black out and I did a face plant on the floor. You should see my face, looks like I was in a wreck or someone beat heck out of me. Black eye of sorts, forehead, nose, and under left eye scrapped. Next thing I knew was the wife next to me on the floor. Have had that kid of feeling before, but always knew it was coming amd sit down, but this time I didn't know amd didn't know I hit the floor until it was all over, LOL! Maybe I will at some point post my pic from next day, LOL!

Sorry to hear all that Skip. Know how you feel. I'm into 3rd week myself. Worst cough I have ever had. Had almost same thing happen to me in the shower, got to coughing and ended up on my knees wondering what happened. Sure hope you get to feeling better soon.

Nice looking jigs. I love the pink/chartreuse color. One tip I would offer is don't get in a hurry when tying. Enjoy it and take you time. The results usually will be much better

Sorry to hear you have this too, no one should have this stuff! Difference in mine and your black out is mine happened at 4AM when I was fast asleep and had to pop up on side of bed and then bang, lights went out!
hope you get better soon too! I have my fingers crossed as I spent my first night bad in bed since last Sunday and have been watching TV most of the night. I think the breathing treatments are keeping me from sleeping in my chair. About a 5 night stretch I only got maybe 5-7 hours sleep. This sucks big time!

Good job on your first ties! Keep tying, the more you tie the more you learn. There are a lot of videos out there just like the guys have said with helpful tips and techniques. It can get to be a great addiction!
