Hey guys, I'm taking an elderly friend of mine fishing tomorrow to Lake Nimrod. He took me fishing most all of my life now I pretty much take him fishing in return. I've only fished Nimrod a couple of times before and that was usually trolling crankbaits. If anybody could give me some tips on where, what, and how I should fish tomorrow I would really appreciate it. We usually single pole jigs but I can spider rig, long line troll or whatever I need to do. Kind of new at spider rigging but I'm set up for it. Any information would be helpful even where to launch. Thanks.
No problem.

I have a friend like that. If he wants to go fishing, I drop what I'm doing and take him. He didn't take me fishing when I was younger, but has helped me every time I needed him to without a question ask. Gave me 60k to help me start my business on a hand shake, and No interest. Woulda loaned me whatever I'd ask for. He knew I'd pay him back tho.

How did the trip go Mac Daddy? I'm sure you got some great info from some great anglers. Must include pictures!

Well I got a report from someone who had been doing well earlier but went yesterday afternoon and didn't do as well as he had been. So I started looking to change lakes but ultimately decided to go ahead and go to Nimrod. We had a good trip but, as warned, the bite was slow. We caught around 20 but only about half were keepers, some of those barely, but we got a mess of fish for my friend. He was still excited about fishing a new place and of course we learned a lot about an area I've never fished before and feel better prepared to return when the bite gets better. Thanks to everybody that pitched in and helped me out. It was raining pretty hard when we got home so we didn't take any pictures. Next time will be better, then we'll post some slabs.
