YUK! I don't like those greasy things. You can have them all! I've caught some little ones on Jordan, but mostly, they don't bother jigs. But I have caught some big ones on Harris, usually on a white tube jig.

Went for a couple hours this morning to get some perch for dinner. When I got on the water it was glass. Within about an hour and a half it was 2 foot chop. Cut it short, ended up with 5 keeper perch.

They are very good on a grill. Not as good as yellow perch fried.
I saw one of your earlier posts re: a certain lake known for yellow perch. I know which lake this is, was wondering if you had any success? Perch fishing usually picks up in the spring, any idea when that might occur? Have you fished any of the rivers on the coast, heard they explode soon??
YUK?? I think they are almost indiscernible from crappie when filleted and cooked. It would take a DNA test to tell a WP fillet from a WB fillet (they are very closely related). Love 'em all! But to each his own, I guess. Nice mess o' fish in my book.
Nice perch
