    Yep, he's right about the warranty thing. It's under warranty. It's their problem, not yours. Problem is, it is boat show season now. Those riggers are making ready show boats. The mechanics too. When the shows are over their first priority will be to get every sold boat delivered before buyer remorse sets in. Mechanics will be drafted to be riggers to speed delivery of boats to buyers, not fix boats...that can wait. And what little that does get fixed will be triaged based on shop hours vs. repair sales. Warranty work at his time of the year? It is unlikely. It will be boat delivery season through at least the end of March. I once took a Johnson 3 liter Limited Edition in to get a burned piston (the top one) replaced in December. I got it back in April. And I was the business manager of the boat dealership. However, putting those same long rubber trolling motor mounts in again will only result in the same inevitable outcome. Don't let them do it. Like a slow gazelle on the Serengeti... Of course your experience may be exactly opposite, and I truly hope it is.
