    Default suggestion for moderators

in the future i think it would be nice if someone starts a thread and a bunch of negative comments and arguing get started , delete the negative comments and not the entire thread, may help stop allot of the BS going on lately, just my two cents!

Good idea, Greg. It's a shame a good thread goes bad because of the foolishness of a few.

I agree. Someone post their story and one person can get an entire post deleted. Maybe block the negative guy from posting is a better idea.

I concur, zap the negative and lock out the one or many that start a controversy instead of offering positive solutions or alternatives.

Another possible method : if you see a member posting something that violates the site rules, like personal attacks towards another member, foul language, or otherwise disrupting the discussion with unfounded negative comments ... click on the Report Post icon (triangle with ! in center) of the offending member's reply and state your case for reporting it. The Report Post icon is in the highlighted banner just below each posted message.

Reporting a post will send a email to the Admin (Ed) and all of the SuperMods ... and whichever one of us sees the email will deal with the situation at that time. Moderators can't be on here 24/7 ... and neither can the Admin or SuperMods ... but, one or more of us is usually on here at any given time of the day.

Moderators have the option to edit parts or all of a post, all the way to shutting down the whole thread. ALL members should be reminded to follow the unwritten rule -- Agree to disagree, and be civil about it !!
