I thought about that too. I saw some 15D and 20D models that were less $ Only thing I can figure is the DX models have stainless parts and bearings the D models did not list any stainless parts , How much bigger are the 20's compared to the 15's ?
Looks like about 25.00, a reversing bearing and maybe a little heavier made for deep water fishing. Not worth the difference for pulling cranks. A little back story, early on when everyone started using the Okuma reels the 15 did not have bearings just a bushing. So you had to loosen the spool knob so much to let out line it created a gap between spool and body and line would get between spool and body creating a mess. They have since revised those reels with 2 ball bearings making them perform much better. I have 20's because of that but if buying today I would go with the 15 because of width.
Thanks guys. Santa got me 4 B&M PST rods Just looking for reels to put on them . I used CL Farm when I fished with him and like the line counter feature just looking to by the right setup and be done

Bob, do yourself a favor. When you get the reels look at the foot that goes on the rod. They are pretty thick. Had trouble mounting them on a couple of my rods. Actually got a little rambunctious and split the seat on older PST. I took a dremel and trimmed down the sides and thinned the tip ends to make them fit better. Remember they are made for larger trolling rods.

Cray I just heard back from the seller the D is the old style with the bushing Glad I asked you guys before buying , DX is 2 ball bearing, I prefer a left handed reel , old habit from bass fishing days
