598ci-HD-SI transducer help
I just got this unit and want to have a transducer on both the TM and the transom. I already have the XNT 9 SI 180 T for the stern. There are 2 ways to go for the trolling motor. I could use a XNT 9 SI 180 T with the trolling motor mount or I could buy the XTM 9 SI 180 T which is designed to be mounted on the TM.
I was wondering if there was any advantage of one over the other?
Also I would be in the market for a decent used version of either of these transducers.

I have mine mounted on the trolling motor with a clamp see pics. I had one of the transducers that was made to mount on the trolling motor but I had sold it with a another unit a while back ago.You know me and buying and selling fish finders. LOL I will say the ones made to mount to the trolling motor are better because it keeps it from getting hit by stumps so much.

Thanks guys. SO other then the shielding there is no difference in the performance between these two transducers ?
